We drove down Friday after work and ate at the 5-star restaurant Cafe Diablo and had coconut calamari, Ribs and enchiladas, fruit tart, homemade ice cream and chocolate cake! Mmmmm. Then we camped at the Sunglow Campground.
Bryan checked out all the historical markers along the way. This was a marker for an old wheat mill.
Breakfast...and a souvenir!
We stopped at the Fruita Orchard Homestead for breakfast. Or dessert actually. Bryan had a mini peach pie and I had a lemon poppyseed scone. And I bought a new hot pad!
Another marker for the Indian Peace treaty!
I really love this tradition. And I hope it will grow on Bryan :) (He liked it but didn't love the 3.5 hour drive even though we read The Hobbit, ate Starbursts, and sang Disney songs at the top of our lungs)
Check out last year and the tire fiasco!
And the year before that and the Goblins!
